Education does not simply mean the ability to read and write, it is a wide term used to describe the complete process of development. Education in today’s scenario aims at the holistic development of the children. The aim of this holistic development is only achievable with the pragmatic approach to education. Schools organize such exhibitions and seminars to enhance the student’s knowledge and making learning a fun experience where it is comparatively easy on the part of the teacher to teach and light for the students to learn new things very easily in a better way.

We are living in a developing country and science has a very vital role to play in the development of any country or the world as a whole. Science has always proved to be a blessing for the mankind. Science has transformed a life by inculcating various luxuries and made human life very comfortable. It is science which has helped man to reach the moon, measure the depth of the sea and revealed many secrets of the living and the non-living. The importance of science in our day to day life can never be underestimated. Science exhibitions in schools at different levels are one of the easiest ways to enhance students interest in science and technology.
Our earth as a whole is facing lots of challenges these days that can be only dealt with the interference of a scientific approach. Problems like global warming, pollution, an alternative to plastic, fuel consumption, energy sources, use of water resources, and other general topics like development in the field of modes of communication, new and better modes of transportation, medicine etc all need a scientific mind. There is no better way than exhibitions in the school.
In the fast-moving and technical world, students are no more interested in listening to the boring lectures and cramming facts. The minds of students work faster than the jet planes. The curiosity level and enthusiasm to learn and dissect any knowledge are commendable. It is the responsibility of the teacher these days to maintain this enthusiasm and give a positive direction to the curiosity of the students and help them dive deep into the ocean of learning. Science exhibition is a wonderful tool that engages students in learning new facts and inventions with a zeal of interest.
An exhibition is a platform for the students to work together in groups. This gives the opportunity to the students to develop social and moral skills. The education department should encourage a healthy competitive spirit among the students. These exhibitions should be held at regular intervals of time to engage students in the fun learning activities. These science exhibitions can be held within the schools or between many schools at a bigger level. It is very important in fact the most important need of the hour to develop the interest of students in science and technology for a better future and sustainable development of the society.
